We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Surgical Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Surgical Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting surgeons and the surgical team before, during, and after surgical procedures. Your duties will also include handling surgical instruments, suturing incisions, controlling bleeding, and monitoring patient vital signs during procedures. You may be required to assist with patient positioning, draping, and transport, as well as documenting surgical procedures and maintaining accurate records. Adherence to safety protocols and infection control standards is mandatory.
To succeed in this role, you should have completed an accredited Surgical Assistant program or possess equivalent experience in a surgical setting. Certification as a Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist is highly desirable. You must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts, as surgeries may occur outside regular business hours.
