We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Historical Curator to join our team and oversee the acquisition, preservation, and interpretation of historical artifacts and documents. You will be responsible for developing exhibition themes, selecting and interpreting objects, writing catalog entries and labels, and collaborating with designers and educators to create meaningful visitor experiences.
In addition to exhibition work, the Historical Curator will manage the care and documentation of collections, including accessioning new items, maintaining records, and ensuring proper storage and conservation. You will also be expected to conduct original research, publish findings, and contribute to the academic and public understanding of historical topics.
The role requires excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. A strong background in history, museum studies, or a related field is essential, along with experience in curatorial work or collections management. Familiarity with digital tools and databases used in museums is also highly desirable.
