We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Ground Support Equipment Operator to join our airport operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and inspecting various types of ground support equipment (GSE) used to service aircraft on the ground. This includes equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, de-icing trucks, air start units, and ground power units. Your primary goal will be to ensure the safe and efficient movement and servicing of aircraft while adhering to strict safety and operational guidelines. As a Ground Support Equipment Operator, you will work closely with ramp agents, maintenance crews, and flight crews to support timely aircraft departures and arrivals. You must be able to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment and be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions. Attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a commitment to safety are essential for success in this role. Your duties will include performing pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment, reporting any mechanical issues, and ensuring that all equipment is properly fueled and maintained. You will also be responsible for towing aircraft, loading and unloading baggage and cargo, and assisting with aircraft pushback and parking procedures. Compliance with airport regulations, airline policies, and federal safety standards is mandatory. This position may require working early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays, depending on flight schedules. Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license and may be required to obtain additional certifications or security clearances depending on the airport and employer requirements. Prior experience in aviation or ground support operations is preferred but not required, as training will be provided.
