We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, studying, and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory, and labor. This role requires a strong understanding of cost accounting principles and the ability to work collaboratively across departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and cost control.
As a Cost Accountant, you will play a critical role in budgeting, performance evaluation, and asset management within the organization. You will analyze actual manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs. You will also assist in month-end close of the General Ledger and prepare detailed account analysis and reconciliation.
The successful candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial team members. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and be able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Key responsibilities include maintaining cost accounting systems and cost ledger, preparing cost estimates for new products, and analyzing cost variances. You will also be expected to support audits, develop and implement cost standards, and provide management with reports that reflect cost efficiency and profitability.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial health and strategic decision-making of the company. If you are passionate about numbers, have a keen eye for detail, and enjoy working with cross-functional teams, we encourage you to apply.
