You will also participate in orientation programs, workshops, and other student development initiatives. Your ability to build rapport with diverse student populations and provide empathetic, student-centered advising will be essential to your success. To be successful in this role, you should have a background in education, counseling, or a related field, and experience working in a higher education setting. Familiarity with student information systems, degree audit tools, and academic advising best practices is highly desirable. You should be organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
